"Do I need a regular clean or a deep clean?" is one of the most common questions we get from new customers. They're genuinely different services — here's how to tell which one your home actually needs.
What regular cleaning covers. A standard weekly or fortnightly clean maintains a home that's already in good order: vacuuming and mopping floors, wiping kitchen benches, cleaning bathrooms, dusting surfaces, and making beds. It's maintenance, not restoration.
What deep cleaning covers. A deep clean goes into the areas a regular clean doesn't touch every visit — inside the oven and microwave, skirting boards, window tracks, behind and under furniture and appliances, grout scrubbing, light fittings, and inside cupboards.
How long each takes. A regular clean on an average 3-bedroom Perth home takes about 2–3 hours. A deep clean on the same home typically takes 4–6 hours, since every surface is being addressed rather than just the visible ones.
When you need a deep clean. Moving into a new home, before a big event or hosting guests, after renovations, at the change of seasons, or if it's simply been more than 3–4 months since the last thorough clean — even a well-maintained home builds up grime a regular clean skips.
